Dr. Alexander Lopez was born and raised in the Chicago and Kenosha areas. He is excited to come to Rockford and serve the needs of the community. Dr. Lopez is here to provide the highest quality of care and compassion, all while tailoring each appointment to the specific needs of his patients.
D.D.S. - UNIVERSITY OF IOWA
Dr. Lopez attended the University of Wisconsin - Madison, where he earned a degree in biology and conducted novel genetic research. He then began pursuing a Masters in bacteriology, before heading to Iowa and attending the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. While in dental school, he was the President of the Hispanic Student Dental Association and had a chance to participate in multiple community outreach programs. While at Iowa, Dr. Lopez also gained a fascination with endodontic treatment.

After completing his general dentistry education, Dr. Lopez was accepted to the University of Nebraska Endodontic Residency Program. In his two years there he gained advanced training in the field of endodontics, where he was able to learn from and work with world-renowned clinicians and educators. While in Nebraska he also conducted further genetic research on wound healing that was presented at the American Association of Endodontists’ annual meeting.
